Travel trade professionals throughout the Western U.S. honored the outstanding visitor satisfaction of the Hawaiian Islands and service of the Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau (HVCB), with awards for “Destination with the Highest Client Satisfaction, USA” and “Tourism Board Providing the Best Travel Agent Support” at the TravelAge West WAVE (Western Agents’ Votes of Excellence) Awards. The awards were presented June 5 in Santa Monica, California.

“We are thrilled about earning this recognition from TravelAge West and share these awards with all of our industry partners,” said John Monahan, HVCB’s president and CEO. “These awards are a testament to the strength of our travel trade team and our partners, who work effectively with travel agents to create programs that deliver unforgettable Hawaii vacation experiences. Travel agent professionals throughout the 14 Western states and readers of TravelAge West were invited to vote on the best-of-the-best from a list of Editor’s Pick award recipients that were chosen after careful review by Editor-in-Chief Ken Shapiro and the editorial team of TravelAge West. Review methods included product analysis, on-site visits, a survey of a select group of travel agents and online research.
