Oahu's Active Arts & Culture Scene
Oahu is world renowned for its beautiful weather and beaches. But what makes this island truly special is found in the arts and culture that can be seen and experienced year round.
Oahu is home to some of the state's best arts and culture institutions, including the Bishop Museum, Honolulu Academy of Arts, Iolani Palace, and Shangri La. Artistic and cultural festivities are also held monthly, ranging from the annual Ukulele Festival and popular Hawaii International Film Festival, to the outrageous Waikiki SPAM Jam and exciting Duke's OceanFest.
Oahu's nickname is "The Gathering Place," and indeed locals and visitors alike gather together to celebrate the abundance of arts and culture that is unique to Hawaii.
