Lahaina

This historic town is a whole book of stories. Lahaina is no longer that wild and wooly whaling town where sailors on leave clashed with determined missionaries; however, it is still arguably Maui’s best party town with plenty of lively oceanside bars and restaurants, as well as interesting boutiques and galleries that stay open through the evening. Lahaina has a serious side, too. The latest exciting news is the archeological detective work going on at Mokuula, an enormously important early Hawaiian site.
