Festivals of AlohaOutstanding October events in Maui Nui include long distance Outrigger canoes racing from Molokai to Oahu, cultural events on Lanai, Festivals of Aloha events on lush Molokai and in lovely Hana, a free Ukulele Festival and concert at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center in Kahului, the 20th Anniversary Celebration at the Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua and Spooktacular Halloween celebrated in Lahaina with keiki parade and in Wailuku with a special showing of the Rocky Horror picture show, the month will end with fantastic windsurfing competition at Hookipa Beach Park.

Hookupu Hula No Lanai Cultural Festival

Maui Ukulele Festival

The American Windsurfing Tour is hosting the Maui Makani Classic windsurfing competition at Hookipa Beach Park this fall. This beach is famous for its massive North swells; it is not uncommon to see waves over 30 feet. The Classic is scheduled for October 25-November 3 (competition dates are depending on the weather).
