Travelers seeking a little more inspiration as they plan their Hawaii Island vacation have a new online resource that will literally have them “Living in the Moment.” As part of a new marketing campaign launched by the Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau, the new microsite at www.gohawaii.com/hawaiiisland offers rich video content leading viewers to some of the most incredible places on Hawaii Island. In addition to destination information and trip planning tools, the site also offers free wallpaper downloads to add a bit of aloha to your personal computer or mobile device.

Big Island Bees will be opening a beekeeping museum on July 15, providing guests an opportunity to learn about bees, honey, and the techniques used to bring honey from hive to table. The center will feature an observation hive and various tools used by beekeepers for managing hives. Also included will be apiscultures by noted artist and beekeeper, Garnett Puett, whose work is included in such collections as the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden. Pastry Chef Eddie Enojardo of Hilton Waikoloa Village won first place in the “Sweet” division at The Big Island Chocolate Festival on June 9, 2012.
