The Amy B.H. Greenwell Ethnobotanical Garden in Captain Cook will debut its new Visitor Center at a community open house Friday, June 8 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Opened in 1988, AGG is Hawaii’s premier site showcasing the native plants and trees used in Hawaiian culture prior to western contact. This unique 12-acre garden offers visitors guided plant walks at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday - Sunday and the Visitor Center has a gift shop with books and Hawaiian culture-related items.
